The Organ

It's true. I miss home. I miss it most when I remember my childhood. When I was still a little girl, I thought I was born rich because I can have it all. Anything I want, anything at all.

Anything in my world at least πŸ€—. Well not until the organ chapter. When I recall back, there was one time when I really wanted to learn and play organ. When I was in the kindergarden, the teacher used to play the organ while we were singing. I thought she was cool.

'Good morning, good morning, good morning teacher; gong xi gong xi..' are few songs that we sang every morning.

Then, I felt that I wanted to become like my teacher. I wanted to play it too. So I asked my Dad to buy it. My Dad brought a 6-year old me to the musical store for an organ hunting. But everytime he brought me there, the store was closed. Literally, it was never opened every time we reached there.

Looking back, it must have been hard to have a daughter like me. Persistent and determined. Well, maybe not as much as my Dad was 😏. Following few attempts of visiting the store which was always closed, I gave up.

I never had a chance to learn or play the organ, ever.

The organ chapter didn't really make me realize I was not rich. There was another occasion🀣. Maybe when I was 10 years old. γ…‹γ…‹γ…‹

But I'm glad to have been born as me. I am me.

  • Alhamdulillah.

Coffee

I had my first sip when I was 8 or 9 years old. It was Grandma's plain black coffee; Kopi kampung. I shared with grandma's and I thought it was intense, bitter and sweet but nice.

Then 3 in 1 drinks were popular in the 2000s. I had nescafe when I was in high school. Apart from that, hipster coffee shops were increasing in number. The first cafe that I ever went to was Mode Cafe at Wisma Merdeka. At that time, I was only 16😏. Then we often visited ctbl for coffee and hyatt for the coffee & cakes.

I started working in the late 2000s. That's when everything was attainable. With a monthly salary 'cukup-cukup makan', I was still able to have the taste of cofea arabica. Starbucks was first opened at warisan square and that was also when I started to appreciate coffee. It is undeniably true that I may love Starbucks because of the psychographic attack of its successful marketing strategy, but I must also say that the coffee is really good. Americano and cafe latte; these are the only two that I would order interchangeably.

As of now, I have many sips almost every morning to kick-start my day.  Coffee is the pursuit of happiness. Happiness is the key to success. Coffee -> happiness -> success 😁

Well, let put it this way.

The thing you love -> happiness -> success

While writing this, I'm at KLIA waiting for my morning flight. Just had my latte at McD with a friend that I just met. Now I am looking forward for sahur πŸ€“

Gudetama!

Just arrived home.

Working at the lab today and yes today is a public holiday for all Malaysian.. yeah~ πŸ˜€πŸ˜but I didn't realize πŸ˜” that I need to run and read the result on a public holiday 10 days ago 😯.

I missed the holiday again.

Nevertheless, everything seems to be on the right track, Alhamdulillah and hopefully will be able to proceed smoothly. Right after work, I went for a self-care shopping spree at watson πŸ’šπŸ’›πŸ’œ.

On my way home, I saw a young lady with a 'Gudetama' pin-up button on her backpack.

Gudetama.

Egg in many forms, boiled, fried and raw.

A Japanese character hatched in 2013.

Known for its apathetic attitude that one can relate in real life in any sort of encounter.

Cute but annoying to watch however once indulged, can't get enough.

Consists of a short anime series with each episode last approximately one-minute.

Light and easy anime; suitable for those with a hectic lifestyle and too tired and lazy to think πŸ˜‡

To get more of this character, you can start streaming HD @ Youtube : Gudetama all episode

Well work is done, let's Gude-gude :)

Study vs Work

When I accepted the offer to do Bsc (Biotech), I was clueless. Three years. And then I got a job offer. This was when everything starting to make sense. Applicability of knowledge. Knowing is not good enough.

When we were at the university, often than not, we learn things we have never seen or do. The knowledge becomes too overwhelming thus when it comes to execution, it is not as simple as answering the final exam even though you study well. Understand well will basically get you closer to the solution, however to make it work, most of the time you need to think out of the box.

So when you decide to do any degree, be committed; learn, unlearn & relearn; do, undo & redo.

OTAKU?

It's been few weeks since I came back from UTM, it was a blessing that everything went well. Anyway, I'd like to share my recent interest which is -Manga-. I have recently became an OTOKU, although the definition is a bit extreme for me, but I really can't put down the ipad; reading manga feels like a great escape from reality. You can find great reads @ Manga Fox, Mangareader, Manga Here and (Animea- this site is the best to find manga that have similarities with your current interest of genre/author)

- KAICHOU WA MAID SAMA! : Well, everything started here when I initially watched the anime version of this manga of which the sequel has not been out for so long then after the long tiring and fruitless wait, I eventually gave up and browsed through the net for the manga version. Fortunately I found out that the manga version was more updated (of course la kan). The anime is by the way really fun to watch, really really funny. But beware, this is specially for girls only yah.

The Kaichou & the pervert USUI
The class president has a little secret she's keeping from everyone in her high school. As President of the Student Council, the overachieving feminist Misaki really socks it to the guys in an attempt to make the former all-boys' school attract a more female student body. But what will she do when the most awesome boy in class finds out Misaki's part-time job is in a maid cafΓ©?!

After u have watched the anime version (ep 1-28) which u can find here @ AnimeCrazy.net (ranked 14th most popular anime), proceed to chapter 33  @ mangareader.

-  SHUUKATSU - I love this manga! seriously, a JOSEI (specially for woman) comics that is by far one of the best. I love the story-line and it is one of many that I'd like to recommend :)

SHUUKATSU (JOB-HUNTING)
Life isn’t sweet. Asaoka Yuuri, a senior in university, has failed for the 49th time in job hunting. During an exam at the 50th company, which should be a commemoration for her, she came to know Manabe Ryouji, a famous guy at her university. The first impression was horrible. But what will happen to Yuuri, who started to be attracted to Manabe, who looks cool and can do everything to the point that it’s annoying...?!

- LIAR GAME - Another interesting manga. To be honest, I watched the drama before I came across the manga. Although the genre is SEINEN (specially for man), the manga is still suitable for all. I love reading it because it's different from what I usually read (It's like comparing the korean dramas, between My Girl and IRIS or American TV Series Gilmore Girls and Criminal Minds; Smallville and CSI).

Additionally, if u love this manga, you should love Team Medical Dragon (SEINEN) as well (the drama is absolutely awesome which gives you the GAMBATE-feeling- this is always the case for SEINEN manga).

Liar Game and Team Medical Dragon (TMD) - Manga

Liar game and TMD Drama

- PAPILLON - HANA TO CHOU- A story about a twin sister which have opposite personalities. This is another shoujo manga that I'd like to see uploaded @ dramacrazy.net one day.

The main characters of Papillon- A high school student Ageha and 24 year-old postgrad studen Kyu-chan

There are many others such as One piece, Bleach, DORAEMON (Read this since primary school, even in high school), Dr Slump, Detective Conan & the list goes on;p

                                                                                                                                                                  Source: Doraemon

Apart from writing the manuscript, I find more time to actively learn & play the guitar. I hope that one day I have the guts to post here at least one cover song πŸ‘€. Maybe not πŸ˜πŸ’’

So, do u think I'm an OTAKU?
